Water Parks

Updated: December 12, 2025

St. Pete's area offers three exciting water parks within easy reach. Splash Harbour at Indian Rocks Beach provides slides and lazy rivers. The Floating Water Park on Treasure Island features inflatable attractions in the Gulf. Adventure Island near Tampa spans 30 acres with rides and pools, plus combo tickets for other Florida parks.

Florida is known for its beautiful beaches, but I've had days when nothing could replace a dip in the pool or a thrilling ride on a water slide.  The St. Pete's area  has a variety of choices for water adventure seekers if you are one, like me.

Splash Harbour Water Park is a popular spot for outdoor fun in the sun.  It's located at Indian Rocks Beach, about 20 miles outside of St. Pete's.

This park offers two 42-foot water slides, a 600-foot lazy river, sundecks, cabana rentals, a game room, miniature golf, and dining options including Jimmy Guana's Waterfront Restaurant and the Splash Harbour Snack Shack.

With any vacation rental through Resort Rentals, you'll receive 4 daily tickets to the water park, worth over $100/day!

This next water park takes unique to a whole new level.  The Floating Water Park is located in the Gulf of Mexico on Treasure Island Beach, which is a short six-mile drive from St. Pete's.   It features, blow up slides, trampolines and loungers which all float on the warm ocean waters.

This attraction is open March 15 – January seventh.

If you're willing venture out a bit further, I believe Adventure Island is definitely worth the 40 minute drive.

This massive 30-acre water park is located just north of Tampa and right across the street from Busch Gardens. Adventure Island offers rides, slides, pools, splash pads and numerous dining options.

Adventure Island operates seasonally. Check their website for current operating dates and hours, as the park is closed during certain months.

Several ticket packages are available including multiple parks passes to Adventure Island, Busch Gardens, SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica Orlando. Visit https://adventureisland.com/ for more details.
